Our counselors are selected every year among university students of various nationalities, all of whom must be at least 20 years old and fluent in both English and Spanish.

Counselors play a different role from that of teachers, but one which is in no way less important at our camp: group counselors are directly responsible for carrying out the daily program according to the schedule that has been drawn up by the Camp Director, and to act as role models for the children at all times.

Both the counselors and the Resident Camp Coordinator will be housed together with the campers at the rural hostel El Sabil (see Accomodation), acompanying them also during activities such as meals, sports, games, excursions, etc. The safety and well-being of all campers is our number one priority at International Summer Camp Valles del Oso.
